BUCKCHERRY Play Surprise Show In Pennsylvania

July 3, 2006

Scott Tady of Pennsylvania's Beaver County Times is reporting that BUCKCHERRY popped into Ellwood City, PA on Sunday, June 25 for a surprise show.

Word spread quickly, and soon more than 100 people were inside Big Dawgs Bar and Grill, watching BUCKCHERRY — minus singer Josh Todd — playing cover songs like "Jumpin' Jack Flash", "Roadhouse Blues", "Highway to Hell" and "You Really Got Me".

The jam session was the idea of BUCKCHERRY guitarist Keith Nelson, a Riverside High School graduate, who wanted his L.A. bandmates to see his old stomping grounds.

Nelson telephoned ahead to make sure drummer Scott Patterson and bassist Tony Oliastro were at Big Dawgs, giving the three Ellwood City area friends a chance to play together as they did years ago in a local band called STONE MONA.

The BUCKCHERRY guys and guests also played a few of the band's hits, including "Crazy Bitch", which has earned ample radio spins this year.

BUCKCHERRY's third album, titled "Fifteen", debuted at a career best No. 48 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart.

The band recently signed a major label deal with Atlantic Records to market "Fifteen", which was initially released independently through Eleven Seven Music.
