BUCKCHERRY, P.O.D., LIT And ALIEN ANT FARM To Join Forces For 'Gen-X Summer' Tour

April 16, 2018

BUCKCHERRY, P.O.D., LIT and ALIEN ANT FARM will join forces for the "Gen-X Summer" tour.

Generation X is known as being the generation of slackers, cynical and disaffected, but they're also the MTV Generation, and they demand excellence in their music. As the traditional industry has deconstructed, fame increasingly narrowed to a small minority of bands, this generation of fans have continued to support and eagerly anticipate the raw, unfiltered experience of their rock Gods. Now, as a new rock music culture emerges, one defined by fans and artists rather than labels and MTV, "Gen-X Summer" is set to remind us that rock never died.

Said BUCKERRY singer Josh Todd: "You're gonna get your money's worth on this one. The 'Gen X Summer' tour is gonna be one to remember for sure. I love these bands. We all came out around the same time exploding onto the scene with great summertime hits and an awesome live show. Get your tickets now at genxsummer.com and let's get wild and loose!"

BUCKCHERRY's current lineup includes Todd along with Stevie Dacanay on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Kelly LeMieux on bass, Kevin Roentgen on lead guitar and backing vocals, and Sean Winchester on drums.

Asked about the reasons for the departures of guitarist Keith Nelson and drummer Xavier Muriel from BUCKCHERRY last year, Josh said: "Well, you'd have to talk to them. It was a shock to me and to a few of the other guys on the band. It is what it is. The bottom line is, the last three years of BUCKCHERRY was really challenging. It wasn't a band anymore; we didn't have that thing. We were just kind of showing up and running through the set, and that's not how you thrive, that's not how you stay successful. So things had to change, and things changed. And it's been a great change, and I think everybody's happy, including the people who have left the fold. And that's all that matters, you know."

The new lineup of BUCKCHERRY made its live debut in April 2017 at the Rock Into Spring festival in Las Vegas, Nevada.

BUCKCHERRY's latest album "Rock 'N' Roll", was re-released in January 2016 via F-Bomb/Caroline. The deluxe edition featured the record's original track list as well as a new version of "The Feeling Never Dies", a brand new song titled "Getting Started" and a B-side called "Cannonball".
