BRET MICHAELS Interviewed On 'Fox 10 Arizona Morning' (Video)

May 16, 2011

POISON singer Bret Michaels was interviewed on this past Friday's (May 13) edition of "Fox 10 Arizona Morning". A report on his appearance can be seen below.

Michaels' long-awaited autobiography, "Roses & Thorns", is now scheduled for release in early 2012 via Simon & Schuster. Bret says, "[The book] is written in a way that gives you an absolute feel of what I was going through; it's not just a shock-value book. This is a much-different-written autobiography; I'm not just trying to just get shock value out of people. What it does is it goes through, I call it, the moments and comedy of errors that is my life the trying times, the good times, the bad times, the sex, drugs and rock and roll; everything that I went through what led up to it, what happened, what I did about it. And I've got a lot of pictures to prove everything in there. And I think people will really get a feel that in some ways it's sort of part autobiography and part just trials and tribulations of my life and how I dealt with them."

Michaels will reportedly release a new solo album, "Get Your Rock On", later this year.

Bret has previously stated that his sixth solo CD would be "harder" than his past efforts and said his influences were GARTH BROOKS, JOHN MELLENCAMP, LYNYRD SKYNYRD and AEROSMITH.

"This one is primarily straight-up rock songs, which I think people will like," Bret said. "I've written a lot of good stuff over the last few years that I think are just good rock songs. I feel really strong about it."

Bret's last solo album, "Custom Built", sold 22,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 14 on The Billboard 200 chart.
