BREAKER To Reunite With Original Vocalist At BANG YOUR HEAD!!! Festival

October 8, 2007

BREAKER will reunite with original lead vocalist Jim Hamar to play the Bang Your Head!!! festival at Messegelände in Balingen, Germany June 27-28, 2008. The band is also tentatively scheduled to appear at the Bang Your Head!!! warm-up show on June 26, 2008 at the Rockdisco WOM in Hechingen.

Hamar, who also fronts the band NIGHTCRAWLER, appeared on the band's underground classic "Get Tough!" debut album, released on Auburn Records in 1987. The LP was reissued on CD as a two-disc set in 2000 with bonus tracks. He was also on the band's first 45 single, "Blood Money" b/w "Afraid of the Dark", which was released in 1983. The single, which is very rare and hard to find, has sold for as much as several hundred dollars on the heavy metal collectors market. The band also released the EP "Accept" in 1999 and performed at the Wacken Open Air festival in 2000. Hamar was later replaced by Greg Wagner (H.A.T.E., SHATTER MESSIAH) on vocals.

BREAKER returned with Wagner to Germany in 2004 to headline the Headbanger's Open Air festival.

This will be BREAKER's third visit to Germany, a country where the band continues to enjoy a sizeable underground following.

Other confirmed acts for the 2008 Bang Your Head!!! festival include AGENT STEEL, AGE OF EVIL, CONTRACRASH, ENSIFERUM, GRAVE DIGGER, GREAT WHITE, KORPIKLANNI, LIZZY BORDEN, ONSLAUGHT, RAGE, SAXON, TANKARD, TYR and WHITE LION.
