BRAINSIC Prepares To Record New EP

Portland, Oregon-based death/thrash band BRAINSIC has booked time at Black Diamond studios to record its second EP. This will be the follow-up to the 2007 EP, which was laid down at Geomana Studio. It was met with very positive reviews, and even easily won the group an online contest for an independent contract, which the band apparently turned down due to the fact that it did not offer what the group needed.

BRAINSIC was formed in 2004 after guitarist/founder CJ was done with the BODYBAG reunioun show. "Dave and I wanted to start a project for years, but other commitments prevented it until the summer of 2004," says CJ. After a few early lineup changes, the band has been solid for the last two years with Jacob taking bass and vocal duties.
