BORISLAV MITIC To Participate In INTERNATIONAL GUITARART FESTIVAL

Acclaimed Yugoslav guitarist Borislav Mitic (currently residing in Montreal, Canada) has issued the following update regarding his current and upcoming activities:

"I made a guest appearance on the track 'Message of Hope' from the new instrumental album of the virtuoso keyboard player Vitalij Kuprij. The album is titled 'Forward and Beyond' and is out now. We made some very interesting keyboard-guitar solo trade-offs on that track and I think that the collaboration worked out well. There are quite a few other well-known guitar players featured on the album too.

"I am right now adding the finishing touch-ups to my 'long-awaited' new instrumental album. It took a while for all the pieces to fall in their place... The new album will cover a very broad spectrum of tones, styles and various influences and include my best playing ever... During March, I will be reviewing all the tracks and deciding what will make it to the album regarding a certain conceptual form that I have in mind. Mix is in plan for May. I expect the release to be somewhere in mid/late 2004 on Shrapnel Records…

"I should participate on the International GuitarArt Festival in Europe (Belgrade, Serbia) in April. I will be performing songs from my 2 solo albums as well as some from the new upcoming one. Among others artists participating in GuitarArt Festival are also guitar legends like John Williams, Al DiMeola, etc… I should make some more performances and master classes in the region too which are to be confirmed soon…

"I decided to re-print 'Fantasy' album on popular demand — after receiving lots of emails from fans asking for it. 'Fantasy' will be available in a limited edition for now. For more information visit my Website, www.borislavmitic.com."
