BONGZILLA Putting Finishing Touches On 'Amerijuanican'

July 15, 2005

BONGZILLA are nearing completion of the recording of "Amerijuanican", their third full-length album.

BONGZILLA have finished recording at Coney Island Studios and are mixing at Butch Vig's Smart Studios (NIRVANA, GARBAGE, SMASHING PUMPKINS) in their hometown of Madison, Wisconsin with longtime engineer Wendy Schneider. "Amerijuanican" is scheduled to include tracks such as "Weedy Woman" (which the quartet debuted during their opening stint for MONSTER MAGNET),"Kash Under Glass" and the title track.

Guitarist vocalist Muleboy states: "In a time when the U.S. Supreme Court has decided to outlaw medicinal marijuana, the patriot act has taken away freedoms our founding fathers granted in our constitution and the U.S. in engaging in a war for oil we can not win, shouldn't we as Americans be angry? 'Born in the USA, an Amerijuanican by the grace of God'. Our forefathers were Amerijuanicans! It's time to stand tall for what we believe in and Amerijuanican rings loud and clear how I feel." "Amerijuanican" is slated for a fall release internationally.
