'Blood, Feathers And Lipstick' Tribute To WEDNESDAY 13 Due Next Year

November 27, 2007

Horror High, LLC is currently putting together a compilation album titled "Blood, Feathers And Lipstick: A Tribute to the Music of Wednesday 13". A late summer/early fall release is expected.

According to a press release, "This is an idea Wednesday 13 [ex-MURDERDOLLS singer] and Horror High, LLC had kicked around for some time. We never thought the timing was right, but we have always had bands contact us regarding wanting to cover songs, or to do a tribute to Wednesday.

"Thanks to the excitement and motivation of one of Wednesday 13's fan sites, this CD is finally going to become a reality. Many of the fans were in smaller bands and had already started working on this project without our knowledge. However, they did not understand the costs involved nor did they have the proper distribution to get the project going. Wednesday really appreciated the enthusiasm from the website and wanted to help them reach your goal.

"The CD will come out via Horror High, LLC and will be distributed by EMI in North America. The project will be overseen by Wednesday 13 himself. Once the bands/track list is finalized and recorded, we will ship it off to get mastered and shop it for a partner to distribute overseas.

"This CD is being made for the fans — and because of the excitement of the fans! So, thank you!"

As previously reported, Horror High, LLC has set a February 5, 2008 U.S. release date for Wednesday 13's video project "Weirdo-A-Go-Go". This will be Horror High, LLC's first release to be distributed by Caroline/EMI.

Horror High, LLC is still looking for the right company to partner with for distribution overseas.

"Weirdo-A-Go-Go" features the campy and morbid sense of humor that any fans of Wednesday 13 can expect. In the first two episodes, Wednesday 13 hosts clips and trailers of cheap horror flicks, along with performing schlocky but witty skits with his strange and wacky sidekicks. The program promises to resurrect the tradition of Saturday morning TV shows that Wednesday 13 grew up on — the random creations of Sid and Marty Krofft and Pee Wee's Playhouse mixed with the comedic approach of horror hosts Commander USA, Elvira, and Zacherely. The project was shot by Rafa of Core Entertainment, Inc.Rafa is most noted for the video and web site projects he has done for AVENGED SEVENFOLD, EVANESCENCE, ROB ZOMBIE, DISTURBED, STATIC-X and the Dimebag tribute bracelet.

WEDNESDAY 13 (ex-MURDERDOLLS) will release his already completed new album, "Skeletons", in March/April 2008. "We have been meeting with various record labels and want to make sure we find the right home," reads a posting on Wednesday's MySpace page. "We want to give the new record label as much time as needed to really set up the CD. This CD is very personal to W13 and he wants to make sure it gets the proper attention." Tentative songtitles set to appear on the album include "From Here to the Hearse", "Dead Carolina", "All American Massacre" and "Not Another Teenage Anthem".
