BLACK TIDE Preparing For AVENGED SEVENFOLD Tour

October 12, 2007

Miami, Florida-based hard rock band BLACK TIDE (formerly RADIO) has issued the following update:

"We went out to Los Angeles for a couple of days to play some important shows and they were AWESOME!!! We played a show over at Troubadour with SCARLETT GREY and it was perfect. The crowd was amazing and into it and that just put us over the top. Lots of energy went into that show and we had a great time. Afterwards we went over to Rainbow for some dinner, hung out for a little bit and walked across the street to the Key Club to see our boys in ANKLA perform. They brought the house down and we had fun catching up with our friends from Ozzfest.

"We played at the Hot Topic convetion, which was completely insane, and rocked out in the blistering heat. Our set was perfect and on fire!! We had a great time running around the Hot Topic headquarters. After a little of that madness we decided to do a little go-karting. Go-karting was so much fun and was just what we needed to come down from such a long day....or so we thought....

"We decided to do a little skateboarding over at a school that was closed for the weekend. We didn't think much of it, even though we had to jump a pretty tall fence to get in. We skated around for about an hour and watched some of the locals skate around, and they are totally awesome. Well, when we we're leaving we had all almost gonna over the fence and then the good ol' LAPD showed up. They were not happy with what they were seeing and lucky for us they didn't do anything and just told us to get out of there.

"Now we are back home and just getting ready for our upcoming tour with AVENGED SEVENFOLD, OPERATOR, and THE CONFESSION. We are gonna be performing some newer songs that you have not heard before. If you didn't make it out to Ozzfest then you definatley need to come out to the show. We are all really excited to go out on this tour and we know it's gonna be a great time. Make sure you all come out to the show and hang out with us a bit."

BLACK TIDE has set "Light from Above" as the title of its debut album, due in early 2008 via Interscope Records. The CD was recorded with producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD, SOIL) and will include the track "Shockwave", which can be heard in streaming audio at this location.

BLACK TIDE burst onto the metal scene with a month-long stint opening up the main stage of Ozzfest. According to a press release, the band "not only embrace the charisma, character and unwavering attitude of those who shredded before them, but they do so in a manner that would make the virtuosos that inspired them proud. The results are a renegade metallic assault that America hasn't encountered since METALLICA killed 'em all in '83. BLACK TIDE are not only bringing music back from the dead, but they're returning the power to metal. The meltdown is long overdue…"

BLACK TIDE is:

Gabriel Garcia (age 14) – Vocals/Guitar
Alex Nunez (age 17) - Guitar
Zachary Sandler (age 18) - Bass
Steven Spence (age 19) - Drums
