June 14, 2005

BLACK SABBATH, SLIPKNOT and Lemmy (MOTÖRHEAD) were honored Monday night (June 13) at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards ceremony. The trophies, which feature a skull, a snake, a cloak, and a bony hand making the metal sign, were handed out at the London Astoria.

There were excellent live performances from TRIVIUM, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, SHADOWS FALL, NIGHTWISH and ANTHRAX, plus the presenting of 14 awards to the most deserved metal winners — as voted for by the readers of Metal Hammer magazine.
