BLACK SABBATH, JUDAS PRIEST Offspring Join Forces In LUNARMILE

January 26, 2006

Garry Sharpe-Young of Rockdetector.com has issued the following report:

The next generation of stars sired by metal heroes is not just restricted to Kelly Osbourne (daughter of Ozzy) and Lauren Harris (daughter of IRON MAIDEN's Steve Hariris) it seems. For a while now Rockdetector.com has been predicting a union between sons and daughters of the famous, and now it seems to be happening, at least with Birmingham's LUNARMILE.

The band (Photo#1, Photo#2, Photo#3),created at Stratford-upon-Avon college in 2004, is notably fronted by Toni-Marie, not only a striking figure in her own right and a girl who can certainly belt out a tune with gusto but also, as luck would have it, daughter of BLACK SABBATH riffmeister Tony Iommi. The band, featuring mainstay Tom Williams on guitar, has been active on the West Midlands club circuit for some time now but has had trouble keeping a rhythm section. Now that seems solved with an announcement that the ex-GRAVEL team of bassist Alex Hill and drummer Rob Stimpson have joined the fold. Recognize another name there? Alex Hill is son of JUDAS PRIEST's Ian Hill.

If that doesn't get the A&R reps salivating there is the simple fact that LUNARMILE can pen a good song and are putting in the gigs to back it all up. Hopefully an album is on the cards for the not too distant future.

Upcoming LUNARMILE shows:

Feb. 10 - The Jailhouse – Coventry, UK
Feb. 13 - Coxs' Yard – Stratford, UK (charity gig)
