BLACK SABBATH Fans Ask Band To Consider Recording 'Unplugged Album'

June 6, 2005

BLACK SABBATH fans have launched a petition to ask BLACK SABBATH founding members Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward to consider the possibility of recording a live, acoustic album. The text of the petition reads as follows:

"We, BLACK SABBATH fans, are humbly asking you to consider the possibility of recording a live, acoustic album. Not only would an 'unplugged' album be a wonderful opportunity to re-visit (and breathe some new life into) some BLACK SABBATH classics, but it would allow Mr. Osbourne to perform on a successful live album while avoiding the vocal strain that may have contributed to Ozzy's debilitating bronchitis on last year's BLACK SABBATH tour. Many of us agree that we would love to hear acoustic renditions of (among others) SABBATH classics such as 'Lord of this World', 'Scary Dreams', 'Electric Funeral', and 'Behind the Wall of Sleep' and we would be greatly honored if you would take our suggestion into consideration."
