BLACK CROWES Frontman Signs Deal With REDLINE ENTERTAINMENT, Begins Work On Solo CD

BLACK CROWES frontman Chris Robinson has signed with Best Buy-affiliated Redline Entertainment and is working on his solo debut album, New Earth Mud, due later this year, according to Billboard.

Robinson will head back on tour for another 10-date North American jaunt beginning on August 15th in Seattle and wrapping on August 28th in Toronto. In addition to such new songs as "Katie Dear", "Mint Tea", "Untangle My Mind", and "Safe In The Arms of Love", Robinson has also been performing such covers as BOB DYLAN's "You're a Big Girl Now", THE GRATEFUL DEAD's "Comes a Time", FRED NEIL's "The Dolphins", and TRAFFIC's "Evening Blue" during recent live appearances.

As previously reported, THE BLACK CROWES will release a two-disc live set on August 27th via V2 Records. The album will feature 19 songs recorded on October 30-31, 2001 at Boston's Orpheum Theatre, including the previously unreleased "Title Song".
