BISON B.C. Preparing To Enter Studio

December 7, 2009

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-based doom metal band BISON B.C. will enter The Hive Studios in Burnaby, British Columbia later this month with engineer/producer Jesse Gander (3 INCHES OF BLOOD, SUBHUMANS) to begin recording the follow-up to last year's "Quiet Earth" (Metal Blade Records).

In a recent interview with The Obelisk web site, BISON B.C. guitarist/vocalist James Farwell states about the group's new material, "I think it maintains a sound that we have cultivated, our style is definitely there. There's some faster shit, and some doomier shit for sure, but we have also dabbled into a little melody, guitar-wise that is. It's gonna be brutal as fuck. No theme though. It's just a good old-fashioned batch of songs. I think it's gonna be a pretty punk record."

BISON B.C.'s new album is tentatively due in the spring.

Blending traditional heavy metal with undertones of hardcore punk and thrash metal, BISON B.C. has toured with the likes of 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, GENGHIS TRON, BARONESS, THE OCEAN COLLECTIVE and PRIESTESS.
