BIBLE OF THE DEVIL Sign With CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC

January 30, 2006

Rome, Italy-based label Cruz Del Sur Music (SLOUGH FEG, WIDOW, PHARAOH) has announced the signing of Chicago rock 'n' roll/metal band BIBLE OF THE DEVIL. The group will record their as-yet-untitled Cruz Del Sur debut full-length in March with acclaimed engineer Sanford Parker (BURIED AT SEA, MINSK) for a summer U.S. release and fall European release. The band has busily been writing and demoing new material for the effort, and have promised another "sheer bludgeoning" album.

Veterans of recording and touring since 1999, BIBLE OF THE DEVIL is a four-man rock 'n' roll/metal assault specializing in tunefully brutal riff-laden anthems evoking images of debauchery, violence, dementia, and conquest. The current and longest-running lineup consists of Mark Hoffmann on vocals and guitar, Nathan Perry on guitar and backing vocals, Darren Amaya on bass, and Greg Spalding on drums. Together, the band have toured the United States frequently the past several years, and mainland Europe in late 2005.

BIBLE OF THE DEVIL have previously released three full-length albums: "Firewater At My Command" (2002, Genuflect),"Tight Empire" (2003 Raw Deth/2004 Dead Teenager),and "Brutality, Majesty, Eternity" (2005, Scarey),as well as a split 7" EP with fellow Chicago rockers THE LAST VEGAS (2004, Scarey).
