Bassist NEIL MURRAY Lays Down Tracks For New MSG, GIRLSCHOOL Albums

January 30, 2008

Veteran hard rock bassist Neil Murray (BLACK SABBATH, WHITESNAKE) has issued the following update:

"I've completed work on Michael Schenker's new album 'In The Midst of Beauty'. Michael's playing is back to his best, and he's written some great songs. I can report that he is in very good shape, health-wise. The album should be out in April.

"I played on two songs on GIRLSCHOOL's new album, which is partly a tribute to their original lead guitarist, Kelly Johnson, who sadly passed away last year, and also to commemorate the band's 30th anniversary! Lemmy and Phil Campbell from MOTÖRHEAD also play on the record and there may be other famous musicians guesting too."

In addition to Murray, MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP's new CD, entitled "In the Midst of Beauty", will include contributions from returning MSG singer Gary Barden, drummer Simon Philips (THE WHO, TOTO) and keyboardist Don Airey (DEEP PURPLE, OZZY OSBOURNE).
