Bassist BILLY MORRISON Quits THE CULT

August 8, 2002

Bassist Billy Morrison has officially left THE CULT.

"It's official," Morrison stated via his web site. "I will not be playing in THE CULT anymore. I had a great time last year, and feel privileged to have had the opportunity to be a part of that band's long history. I move on now, and plan to complete my plans surrounding the music I have been making with [PITCHSHIFTER frontman] JS Clayden. I am sure that Camp Freddy will re-appear at some point later in the year, and I wish [vocalist] Ian [Astbury], [guitarist] Billy [Duffy], and [drummer] Matt [Sorum] all the love and respect I have."
