May 1, 2003

Acclaimed bassist Barry Sparks (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, DOKKEN, MSG),who is currently touring with TED NUGENT on his North American tour as a replacement for Marco Mendoza, has posted the following message to his official web site:

"Hello! I am here in Dallas — things are good, we drove all night from Tulsa, and we really blew the roof off last night! Oh my God! Great show! Over two hours! 20 plus songs! It was awesome! We played every classic Ted song you can think of,.. plus I get to sing lead vocal on 'Hey Baby' and 'Just What The Doctor Ordered' every night — it is so much fun!! The shows are going great, but I think last night was the best one yet! Tonight we are playing another solo show..... no ZZ TOP till tomorow I think? So it will be around 25 songs! A real workout, for sure! But so much fun!! Also want to give a big thumbs up to everyone out here, the crew and Tommy and Ted - you guys are awesome! Well I gotta go try to wake up and smell the coffee!! All the best from Gonzo land!"
