AVENGED SEVENFOLD Guests On IRON MAIDEN Singer's Radio Show; Audio Available

November 10, 2007

Members AVENGED SEVENFOLD were IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson's guests on Friday, November 9 during Bruce's weekly BBC 6 Music radio show, aptly named "The Bruce Dickinson Friday Rock Show". Listen to a replay of the program at BBC.co.uk.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD guitarist Zacky Vengeance has issued a statement on the band's No. 4 debut on this week's Billboard album chart. Writing at the group's official web site, Vengeance commented, "It's kind of funny to wake up and see the words AVENGED SEVENFOLD at the No. 4 spot on the Billboard top 200. Right next to THE EAGLES and a BRITNEY/CARRIE UNDERWOOD threesome. I don't know about you, but it puts a smirk on my face just knowing that our fans tattooed it right on the foreheads of everyone who would quickly disregard the name AVENGED SEVENFOLD (like we aren't a fucking force to be reckoned with). So once again thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

Vengeance added, "I'll be honest with you: When I roll out of bed every morning my goal in life isn't to be alongside pop stars or actors and actresses or on the cover of the National Enquirer. It sure does feel good, though, to surprise all those people that don't even know what 'an A7X' is..."

AVENGED SEVENFOLD's self-titled fourth album sold 94,000 copies in its first week of release, nearly three times what its 2005 effort, "City of Evil", sold in its biggest week on the chart.

The group's current 30-date tour is slated to wrap up on December 16 in Seattle.
