AVENGED SEVENFOLD, DRAGONFORCE Confirmed For OZZFEST Main Stage

May 18, 2006

AVENGED SEVENFOLD and DRAGONFORCE have been added to the main-stage lineup of this year's Ozzfest, which is scheduled to kick off June 29 in Auburn, Washington.

"Ozzfest has so much history," says AVENGED SEVENFOLD vocalist M. Shadows. "We are honored to be sharing the stage with so many great bands and even more excited in being part of the legacy that is Ozzfest."

Meanwhile, OZZY OSBOURNE — who recently announced an Ozzfest first with his decision to headline the second stage at the festival's July 8 stop at San Bernardino, CA's Hyundai Pavilion of Glen Helen — has elected to headline two additional shows on the second stage on this summer's trek (July 11 in San Antonio, TX at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre and July 22 in East Troy, WI at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre). The move will place the festival's founder and namesake directly into the outstretched hands of his devoted fans.
