AVEN AURA Featuring Former THE CROWN Drummer: Audio Samples Available

May 3, 2005

AVEN AURA, the unsigned Ontario, Canada-based metal band featuring former THE CROWN drummer Janne Saarenpää, have uploaded at their official web site three brand-new sound samples from their upcoming full-length debut, "The Shadow of Idols". Check them out at this location.

Janne recorded the drums for "The Shadow of Idols" last summer at Spectre Sound Studio. Recording continued with Steve laying down the guitar tracks and session bassist Connor Sharpe recording the bass in the fall of 2004. Chris recorded vocals in December and around the same time the long arduous search for a session keyboardist came to an end when Roxanne Constantin of QUO VADIS contacted AVEN AURA. She recorded the keyboards in February 2005.

"The Shadow of Idols" is being described on the group's official web site as "a focused attack consisting of seventeen tracks, five of which are short instrumental interludes. It is a refreshing and exciting debut that will expand the boundaries of metal yet still be pleasing to the metal community."
