AVATAR: Two New Songs Posted Online

Swedish metallers AVATAR will release their third, self-titled album on November 11 via Gain Music Entertainment. Two songs from the CD — "The Great Pretender" and "Shattered Wings" — are now available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. A video for "The Great Pretender" will be filmed this week and made available in October.

AVATAR will embark on a European tour with HARDCORE SUPERSTAR in late October. Also appearing on the bill are WITHIN Y and DEGRADEAD.

AVATAR's last album, entitled "Schlacht", was released on October 24, 2007 via Gain.

AVATAR toured Europe with EVERGREY in October-November 2006 and with OBITUARY and HOLY MOSES in January 2008. They have also played shows with such bands as ARCH ENEMY, STONE SOUR, DISMEMBER, IMPALED NAZARENE, IN FLAMES and MARDUK.
