AVATAR To Resume Recording Second Album

May 10, 2007

Up-and-coming Swedish metal band AVATAR recently entered the studio to record its second album, due later in the year through Gain Records. "We're finally sober enough to do the final recording sessions for the album," the group writes on its web site. "The first date is set to be May 21. The album will come with a DVD featuring live videos, interviews and a fat bunch of bonus material! Excited? Well, you CAN'T be as excited as we are!!!"

AVATAR toured Europe with EVERGREY in October-November 2006 and Scandinavia with IN FLAMES in March 2007. They have also played shows with such bands as ARCH ENEMY, STONE SOUR, DISMEMBER, IMPALED NAZARENE, and MARDUK since the release of their first album, "Thoughts of No Tomorrow", last year.

The average age of AVATAR members is only 19, and the group is being hailed by media and fans as the band that will carry the world-famous Gothenburg sound "into the future with new energy!"
