AVATAR Back In The Studio

February 15, 2007

The young, up-and-coming Swedish metal band AVATAR has entered the studio to record its second album. The first single will be released at the end of May through Gain Records, to be followed by the full-length CD in September. "So far everything is going as planned," drummer John Alfredsson writes in a press release. "The songs this time are more carefully selected; 13 out of nearly 30 songs have been chosen for this album. The material kicks serious ass! Every track feels just perfect!"

AVATAR toured Europe with EVERGREY in October-November 2006. They have also played shows with such bands as ARCH ENEMY, STONE SOUR, DISMEMBER, IMPALED NAZARENE, and MARDUK since the release of their first album, "Thoughts of No Tomorrow", last year.

The average age of AVATAR members is only 19, and the group is being hailed by media and fans as the band that will carry the world-famous Gothenburg sound "into the future with new energy!"
