AUDIOSLAVE Guitarist Applauds VOTE FOR CHANGE Artists

Launch Radio Networks is reporting that AUDIOSLAVE guitarist Tom Morello isn't part of the Vote For Change tour, but he's supporting the effort. Morello has been a political activist since before his days with RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, and he cofounded the Axis Of Justice political organization with SYSTEM OF A DOWN's Serj Tankian. Morello said Vote For Change is another positive step for political dialogue in the country: "I think it's great. I think it's the largest protest tour in history. And it's heartening to see, you know, a lot of artists stepping forward — not only to participate in, but to put on these other tours, to put these records out, to fight back in the way that we can as musicians. That is a healthy sign for a democracy."

Morello is currently performing on the Rock Against Bush tour as the acoustic protest singer THE NIGHTWATCHMAN.
