AT WAR Confirmed For Germany's THRASH ATTACK II Festival

February 7, 2008

Reunited Virginia thrash metal legends AT WAR have been confirmed for the Thrash Attack II festival in Wuerzburg, Germany. The festival will take place February 23 at Soundbarp Ost and will feature additional performances from SABBAT, ONSLAUGHT, PROTECTOR, and other acts.

In the mid-1980s AT WAR was unleashed on the metal scene, prompting Kerrang! magazine to hail the band as "America's premier thrash trio." AT WAR's debut album, "Ordered To Kill", along with early releases by METALLICA and MEGADETH, were among the first independent-label thrash releases to obtain chart positions for nationwide radio airplay and sales in America. The band's second album, "Retaliatory Strike", also achieved Top 20 chart positions on leading radio tip sheets, establishing AT WAR as one of the top U.S. thrash-metal merchants of the 1980s.

AT WAR will head into the studio soon to record its next CD, tentatvely titled "Infidel".
