Australia's ASTRIAAL have been busy finalizing the pre-production for their forthcoming full-length studio opus, tentatively titled Renascent Misanthropy. ASTRIAAL are currently in negotiations with a number of labels for its release, and the album will be recorded mid-winter in Brisbane.

Finishing the pre-production has allowed an earlier than expected return to the live environment for ASTRIAAL. The group will be joining Modern Invasion recording artists CHALICE on the Queensland leg of their upcoming April national tour. The details are as follows:

Apr. 13 – Bonapartes Hotel – Brisbane, AUST
Apr. 14 - Surfers BeerGarden - Gold Coast. AUST

Also on the live front, ASTRIAAL will involved in a number of festivals in the latter part of 2002, with the band having accepted invitations to perform at Brisbane's Overcranked festival in June, and Sydney's Bloodlust festival in July. Both festivals will be open to all ages and ASTRIAAL will be airing tracks from their forthcoming album. More details will be provided soon.
