ASKA, VOUGAN To Play LONE STAR METAL Showcase In Houston

May 1, 2009

Lone Star Metal magazine, a Texas-based webzine, will host a showcase event in Houston, Texas on June 27 at one of the city's longest-standing venues, Fitzgerald's. Texas metal veterans ASKA will headline the event, which will mark the band's return to Houston after almost a year. Direct support will come from Brazilian power metal act VOUGAN, recently relocated to Austin. VOUGAN features Carlos Zema (formerly of OUTWORLD) and the showcase date will be their premiere show in Houston. Additional support will come from SIX MINUTE CENTURY, a Houston stalwart, CONSPIRACY OF THOUGHT, based out of Hollywood, California, and OFF THE ZODIAC from San Antonio.

The showcase event will serve as the launch party in celebration of the webzine's March 2009 Internet debut.

Lone Star Metal is uploaded bi-monthly and centers on the Texas heavy metal and hard rock scene.

Tickets are on sale now for $8 and will be $10 at the door.
