June 21, 2006

MTV2 will debut an annual user-generated celebration of everything that matters called "All That Rocks". Winners will be determined by MTV2 audiences by voting at AllThatRocks.MTV2.com and viewer-submitted video uploads via a partnership with iFilms. This DIY opportunity puts the power in the fans hand to propel their favorite acts into the mainstream. Hosted by Bam Margera, the event will air on Sunday, July 30 at 9:00 p.m. EST.

MTV2's "All That Rocks" has nominated AS I LAY DYING and LAMB OF GOD and MASTODON for the position of "There Are None Higher, Ultimate Metal God"!

MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" will air a special episode preceding the award show (July 29) at their usual time of 10:00 p.m. EST. All three nominees for the upcoming award show will be interviewed on the program.

Be sure to vote for your favorite metal band. Fans can vote online at the polling site for "All That Rocks", MTV2's first-ever award show! Vote today at this location. Polling will run from Monday, June 19, 2006 to Thursday, July 13, 2006.
