Artist DEREK HESS Designs Artwork For 'Metal On Metal 25th Anniversary Concert'

September 10, 2007

World-renowned Cleveland-based artist Derek Hess has created exclusive poster artwork for the "Metal On Metal 25th Anniversary Concert", set to take place on September 15 at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio. Artist Aaron Sechrist assisted with the layout.

Hess has designed cover art for SEPULTURA, IN FLAMES, DEFTONES, WITHERED EARTH, BREAKER, UNEARTH, DISENGAGE and most recently FOREVER IN TERROR, to name a few. His works have been exhibited worldwide and featured in permanent displays at the Louvre in France and the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame And Museum in Cleveland.

"I haven't done a concert poster or flyer since 2006 and the only reason I did it was because Bill Peters and his 'Metal On Metal' show is a huge asset to the cause of metal here in Cleveland and is consistently an awesome radio show with an untouchable run," says Hess. He goes on to add, "I've also been a huge RAVEN fan since they tore up the Phantasy nightclub here in the early '80s with ANTHRAX, who were touring in support of their 'Fistful Of Metal' album. This was one of the best shows I have ever seen to date."

Taking part in the "Metal On Metal 25th Anniversary Concert" are RAVEN, ANVIL, PILEDRIVER and DESTRUCTOR. All four bands will be doing full headlining sets. Each is working on, or soon will be releasing, a new studio album.

"Metal On Metal 25th Anniversary Concert" set times:

The very popular underground radio program has featured import and independent heavy metal for parts of the past three decades.

Tickets are only $15 in advance and available at this location.
