ARKAN's debut CD, "Hilal", was released in June 2008 via Season of Mist. The effort was recorded at Studio Fredman with producer Fredrik Nordström (IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY, SOILWORK, DARK TRANQUILLITY, SEPTICFLESH, AT THE GATES) and was mastered at Hansen Studio in Ribe, Denmark by Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, HATESPHERE, ABORTED, VOLBEAT).

ARKAN was formed in May 2005 by Abder (ex-DAWN OF DECLINE) and Foued with a common goal: to mix "metal" in the broadest sense and oriental music, a harmonious musical journey between the south and north.
