ARKAIK: New Album Title Announced

February 21, 2011

Riverside, California-based technical/progressive death metallers ARKAIK are hard at work on maerial for their sophomore album, "Metamorphignition", due in early 2012 via Unique Leader Records. According to a press release, the band's "intention is to create a more mature and rhythmically balanced album that expands on their already fierce musical style. It will be an evolution in which the brutality and technical ferocity will not be lost; it will merely be accompanied by more musical elements which will add depth to the sound. The music on the album will be intertwined with a story with the intention of engaging listeners. It will take them on an abstract journey into the transcendental nature of humanity and the cosmos."

ARKAIK plans to head into the studio near the end of 2011.

The CD artwork will be handled by the graphic master Tony Koehl.

ARKAIK's debut album, "Reflections Within Dissonance", came out in January 2010 via Unique Leader. The CD was mixed by Samur Khouja at Seahorse Sound Studios and was mastered by Stefano Morabito of 16 Cellar Studios (HOUR OF PENANCE, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE). The cover artwork was created by Pär Olofsson (ABORTED, EMETH).
