ARGUS Parts Ways With Label, Announces New Guitarist

October 14, 2008

ARGUS, the Pennsylvania-based metal band featuring former PENANCE vocalist Brian "Butch" Balich, has parted ways with Chile's Emissary Records. The band says, "We are currently working on finishing the album we began in May and hope to have it completed by the end of 2008. We will begin seeking a new label deal for the release of our self-titled debut."

In other news, ARGUS has announced the addition of guitarist Erik Johnson to the group's ranks. Erik replaces Mike Wisniewski who left the band in September. ARGUS says in a statement, "Erik was a founding member of ARGUS and we're excited to add him back as guitarist. We've already begun writing for the follow-up to our debut and he has already contributed in this area."
