ARCTURUS To Participate In Online Chat

September 22, 2005

Norwegian extreme metal band ARCTURUS will participate in an online chat on Friday (September 23) on the web site of Norway's second-largest newspaper, Dagbladet.

To submit questions to the band, fill in the title of your question in the "Tittel" field, your question in the "Spørsmål" field, your name in the "Navn" field and your e-mail address (optional) in the "Epost" field. ARCTURUS will answer the questions during the chat, which will take place tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 23) at 10:00 a.m. GMT (11:00 a.m. British summer time). ARCTURUS' answers will remain online even after the chat has ended, so you don't have to get up at 10:00 a.m. GMT to see if the band have answered your question.

As previously reported, ARCTURUS' live performance at Rockefeller in Oslo, Norway on Saturday, September 24 as part of the Sonic Solstice festival will be broadcast/streamed live on the Internet. The concert will also be recorded/produced for release on DVD.

To watch the concert online, visit www.gigs.no. You will need a Windows operating system, Windows Media Player v7.1 or greater and a broadband connection (> 300Kbps ) to be able to watch the concert.

ARCTURUS' new album, "Sideshow Symphonies", was released this week via Season Of Mist. The band's current lineup includes DIMMU BORGIR bassist Simen Hestnaes (a.k.a. ICS Vortex, ex-BORKNAGAR, LAMENTED SOULS) on lead vocals. Hestnaes had previously performed vocals on three tracks and written the lyrics for one song on ARCTURUS' 1997 album, "La Masquerade Infernale".

ARCTURUS announced in January that vocalist Øyvind Hægeland (SPIRAL ARCHITECT) had left the group. No reason was given for his departure.
