MEGADETH have cancelled their appearance at the Dynamo Festival in Holland. No reason has been announced for this decision, but what it means is that the band will now start their World Needs A Hero tour at Milton Keynes National Bowl on June 8 with AC/DC, THE OFFSPRING, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, and about '50,000 close personal friends'.

CANNIBAL CORPSE guitarist Jack Owen will participate in a chat at USA Today's website on Thursday, March 22nd.

Finland's DEEPRED have cancelled their planned show at Helsinki's Tavastia club on April 9th due to 'scheduling problems among band members for that particular day'.

Italian melodic metallers DOMINE will enter New Sin Studio during April to record their third album for Metal Blade Records. According to guitarist Enrico Paoli, the as-yet-untitled effort 'will be similar to [second album] Dragonlord, but with some unexpected surprises and with some changes.' Tentative song titles include:

01. True Leader Of Men

02. The Bearer Of The Black Sword

03. Horn Of Fate

04. For Evermore

05. The Hurricane Master

A press release from the offices of Earache Records:

...

Earache Records is proud to announce the signing of CADAVER INC to a worldwide recording deal.

...

The band may be a new name to some but to anyone with an interest in Norwegian metal over the last ten years, the name will seem strangely familiar.

...

Lifelong Earache devotees will remember the band CADAVER from the early 90's Necrosis imprint label. CADAVER INC is the brainchild of original guitarist Anders Odden, now going by the handle of Neddo. His experiences from those groundbreaking early days (CADAVER issued two of the very first extreme metal albums from the then-soon-to-be legendary Norwegian scene—Hallucinating Anxiety (1990) and ...In Pains (1992)) mean that the immense pedigree of the latest incarnation cannot be denied.

...

After the original band's demise, Anders spent most of the '90s in highly successful darkwave act APOPTYGMABERZERK, and in 2000 constructed the millennial edition CADAVER INC as a breeding ground of sickness and depravity. His recent contributions to SATYRICON's Rebel Extravaganza and MAYHEM's A Grand Declaration Of War re-activated his interest in the extreme metal scene......

...

Joining Neddo in this immoral venture are hyperfast drummer Czral (ex-DIMMU BORGIR),vocalist Apollyon (AURA NOIR, DODHEIMSGARD) and LJ Balvaz on bass (trainspotters will remember the pre-CARNAGE act HYDRHYDR.....)

...

CADAVER INC is yet another in a long line of high quality Norwegian metal acts. Where the original CADAVER paved the way for the Norwegian scene by opening the gates for bands like EMPEROR, MAYHEM, IMMORTAL, SATYRICON, ENSLAVED and DIMMU BORGIR in the early 90's, now CADAVER INC is more than ready and ably-equipped to pick up the challenge laid down by those bands during the intervening years.

...

The band's debut album, titled Discipline, is released in Europe on April 16 and USA in early May. Featuring guest appearances from Fenriz (DARKTHRONE) and Faust (ex-EMPEROR),the album is a blunt post-black metal statement. Evading childish pre-occupation with Satanic imagery, Discipline focuses on the crawling sewer life that is much of human society—the dank, cold corners of the disturbed mind, the brutal realism of a corrupted future. The fact that CADAVER INC are from Norway is bound to mean endless comparisons to fellow countrymen- but such comparisons are futile. CADAVER INC have the chance to prove their worth as they embark on a European tour together with MORBID ANGEL and ZYKLON though April and May.&nbsp
