Texas' progressive metal gods WATCHTOWER will be releasing a CD of 'unreleased demos' through Monster Records. The album will include amazing unheard recordings from 'the boss tapes', the 'control demos', as well as unreleased material from before Energetic Disassembly was even a concept, or title, for the first WATCHTOWER release. All contributions for this project are from the band's personal collections of recordings, photos, liner notes and lyrics.

GLASSJAW have parted ways with bassist Manuel Ragoonanan Carrero, who left the band for personal reasons. A replacement for him is expected to be announced shortly. GLASSJAW are planning to hit the studio in June with producer Ross Robinson (SLIPKNOT, KORN, LIMP BIZKIT, SOULFLY, SEPULTURA) to begin working on their sophomore effort for I AM / Roadrunner Records. The as-yet-untitled album is tentatively scheduled for an October release. In other GLASSJAW news, the band have announced they will be embarking on a short East Coast tour (April 14-26),with support from NEW FOUND GLORY, MOVIE LIFE and COOTER.

Germany's KREATOR are presently tracking guitars at the UK studio of producer Andy Sneap (Backstage Studio) after having laid down all the drum tracks at Hanover's Area 51 Recording Studios (the studio run by former VICTORY guitarist Tommy Newton) for their upcoming full-length effort, the group's first for new label Steamhammer / SPV Records. As previously reported, this album sees KREATOR returning to the high-energy sound of the group's early offerings after a brief foray into a more goth-flavored direction on some of the band's early 2000 demo recordings.

Speaking of Andy Sneap, the former SABBAT guitarist-turned-producer is scheduled to mix the upcoming SIX FEET UNDER album in Florida in early April, followed by a mixing session with TESTAMENT on their recently-recorded CD containing reworked versions of the group's early classics (and featuring an appearance by ex-guitarist Alex Skolnick) in early May, and work on a new BLAZE album throughout the month of June. Following this, Sneap is scheduled to produce an all-new TESTAMENT album during July, the group's first with ex-SADUS drummer Jon Allen.
