Commented ARCH ENEMY vocalist Angela Gossow: "We had a great time playing the European summer festivals and then going to Mexico for three sold-out, insanely raging shows! We are currently preparing for our Moscow gig, Belgium’s Mass Deathtruction festival, Japan's Loud Park, all Asia dates, Australia, New Zealand and then Europe! Yes, the Tyrant will return to its Root Of Evil once again. Raising hell in the month of Christmas kitsch — loving it!

"We will bring some young talent with us — ABIGAIL WILLIAMS and TRIOSPHERE (make sure not to miss them!) and also one of the true German thrash metal legends we have been worshipping when we were 'young talents' ourselves: DESTRUCTION! Holy shhhhhh...

"I remember staring at their bullet-belt covered outfits and listening to 'Mad Butcher' and then actually having to go back (!) into their discography and picking up 'Sentence Of Death', 'Infernal Overkill' and 'Eternal Devastation'. This seems like…yesterday! And today we are bringing them out as special guest for some selected dates and hopefully for even more shows in the near future! You cannot miss this package if you are METAL TO THE LAST F...ING BONE — this package certainly is! See all you raging thrashers in December!!!"

Added DESTRUCTION frontman Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer: "From all the post-modern death metal acts, ARCH ENEMY are my absolutely fave (one)! When the offer came in to do some shows together, I was fuckin' thrilled and honored at the same time! What a killer package for the fans! We are really enthusiastic to share the stage and kick some ass together!"

Vicky Bradley (a.k.a. Vix the Angel Of Metal) conducted an interview with guitarist Michael Amott of ARCH ENEMY and CARCASS at this year's Bloodstock Open Air festival, which was held August 14-16, 2009 at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, England. Watch the six-minute chat below.

ARCH ENEMY will release a new album, "The Root Of All Evil", on September 28 in Europe and October 6 in North America via Century Media Records. This special collection features re-recorded versions of songs from the band's first three LPs — "Black Earth" (1996),"Stigmata" (1998) and "Burning Bridges" (1999). Acclaimed British producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, TESTAMENT, EXODUS) mixed and mastered the CD, which was recorded at a few different locations in Sweden and produced by ARCH ENEMY with Daniel Erlandsson and Rickard Bengtsson handling the engineering.

The details for the album's limited-edition CD were recently revealed: Apart from a very special "mediabook" packaging, it features three additional live bonus tracks, alternate artwork, an extended booklet and an exclusive patch as additional gimmick!

The song "Beast Of Man" is available for streaming at this location.
