ARCH ENEMY Guitarist Comments On KREATOR Guest Appearance

July 9, 2004

ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott has commented on his guest appearance on the new KREATOR album. Amott has recorded a solo for the song "Murder Fantasies", to be included on KREATOR's upcoming CD, tentatively due in January 2005 through SPV Records.

Says Amott: "This is something I was really happy to do. I get offered to guest on things once in a while, and sometimes I feel right about doing it — this was one of those times for sure! I mean, c'mon…it's fucking KREATOR! I remember hearing the 'Pleasure To Kill' album back in the day and my jaw dropping — the bar had been raised in extreme metal…that was cool as hell! From what I could tell, this song that I played one was a very intense thrash metal song with some MAIDEN-esque harmonies in the middle section — definitely worth checking out!"

KREATOR's as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2001's "Violent Revolution" was recorded and mixed at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, England with producer Andy Sneap. A specially priced four-song EP will precede the album later this year, featuring previously unreleased live material and non album tracks. Artwork duties will be handled by Austrian artist Jochim Luetke.
