ANVIL To Play Toronto Before Embarking On European Tour

Legendary Canadian metal band ANVIL will play a "warm-up" show in Toronto, Ontario prior to embarking on its European tour in August/September 2007. Confirmed dates so far are as follows:

Aug. 04 - Metal Bar - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Aug. 25 - The Underworld - London, UK
Aug. 26 - Astor Theatre - Deal, UK
Aug. 28 - Negasonic Music Club - Aalst, Belgium
Aug. 29 - Negasonic Music Club - Aalst, Belgium
Sep. 01 - B-Hof - Wurzburg, Germany *

* Metal On Metal festival featuring support acts PORTRAIT (SWE), CRYSTAL VIPER (POL), CRIMSON STEEL (GER) and a special guest.

Video footage of Canadian metal legends ANVIL performing at L'Amour in Staten Island, New York on June 2, 2007 has been posted on YouTube.

ANVIL last year re-teamed with producer Chris Tsangarides for the first time since 1983's classic "Forged in Fire" album to record their new CD. The recording sessions took place at Tsangarides' Dump Studios in England and were filmed for an upcoming feature drama-documentary covering ANVIL's return to the metal scene.
