ANTHRAX Playing Longer Sets On Japanese Tour

ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian has posted another installment of his regular online column, dubbed "Alpha Mail". An excerpt:

"The Tokyo shows were great. The venue, On Air East was killer and both nights were packed. We changed the set after the first show and played six different songs the second night. 'Death Rider' is killing. So is 'What Doesn't Die'. All in all, we played 21 songs. The show is starting to get longer again as we get our gig-legs back. It seems that the jet lag has worn off all of us. The second night was definitely the better show overall performance wise and crowd wise. Not to take anything away from the first show, it's just that we had one more day of accommodating to the time change and that makes a huge difference. We did loads of press and TV while we were in Tokyo as well and everyone wants us to come back this year to tour for the ['Metallum Maximus Aeturnum'] record. We want to. Japan twice in one year? That would be sick. We’re formulating a plan for a very special tour for that record. Stay tuned."
