ANGER AS ART Sign With OLD SCHOOL METAL RECORDS

November 16, 2005

ANGER AS ART, the Los Angeles-based thrash metal band featuring Steve Gaines (ABATTOIR, BLOODLUST, PAGAN WAR MACHINE, DREAMS OF DAMNATION),have inked a deal with Old School Metal Records. The group's official statement on the matter reads as follows:

"We are thrilled to announce that we have signed with a label that believes in this music as much as we do. Not just for commercial viability but also with respect for the art (yes, pun intended) that metal music encompasses. We look forward to getting in the trenches with our family at OSM, and working to make ANGER AS ART the yardstick by which thrash metal can be measured. Maybe even America's last thrash metal band. The future certainly looks promising. We welcome the challenges, and the work ahead.

"OSM is a relatively new label, staffed by some of the underground metal communitys brightest stars. Their knowledge of this music is second to none matched only by their drive to succeed. We are excited to be welcomed into the OSM family, as we welcome OSM into ours.

"So what does this mean? Well, first and foremost the days of the free CD have now come to an end. After approximately 3000 units distributed worldwide, 'Anger As Art' will soon be officially issued through OSM Records. The details of the re-release are being discussed right now, but we can tell you that it will be available through www.osmrecords.net, or through Century Media distribution. Also coming to www.amazon.com and through your regular metal retail outlets worldwide.

"We hope that the recorded works of the first ANGER AS ART CD will be repackaged with new photos, a booklet, and 2 bonus live tracks a song called 'Everybody Dies' (originally recorded by ABATTOIR and later performed by PAGAN WAR MACHINE) and a cover of SEPULTURA's classic 'Troops Of Doom'. Release date is probably early 2006. It will be followed midyear by our sophomore effort entitled 'Callous And Furor'. ANGER AS ART is scheduled to begin recording in January 2006 again to be produced by Chris Trent at CT Audio. The cover art is by the amazing Eddie Mize, who is putting the finishing touches on an AMAZING creation that will blow your minds. Additional developments on the release of 'Callous And Furor' will follow along with some surprises to be included. Tour dates and festival appearances to be announced throughout 2006."
