ANDREW W.K.'s Debut Goes Gold In Japan

ANDREW W.K.'s debut album, "I Get Wet", has been certified gold in Japan for sales in excess of 100,000 copies. Andrew has ventured to Japan a total of seven times so far — playing concerts all across the country.

The song "Long Live The Party" from ANDREW W.K.'s new album, "The Wolf", recently hit No. 1 on Japan's ZIP FM Radio and stayed at the top position for three weeks straight.

As previously reported, ANDREW W.K. guitar technician Kendall has officially joined the band as their third guitarist. Kendall replaces Jimmy Coup (a.k.a. James Mecherle, formerly of Minnesota's COUP DE GRACE),who left the group last month due to "musical" differences. ANDREW's current touring band is rounded out by Payne (guitar),Frank (guitar),Gregg (bass),and Donald "D.T." Tardy (drums, ex-OBITUARY).
