ANDREW W.K. Begins Work On New CD

January 31, 2003

ANDREW W.K. has commenced the recording sessions for the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed debut, "I Get Wet", tentatively due in late spring/early summer through Island DefJam Records.

"You know when you get one of those weird things underneath your armpit?" Andrew told Rolling Stone. "That's what this album is — a growth. It's branching off, it's growing off, but it's not abandoning or turning its head to what it is."

In other news, Andrew W.K. has been confirmed for the 9th Annual Warped Tour, which is set to kick off on June 19 in Boise, Idaho and wrap up on Aug. 10 in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Also scheduled to appear are RANCID, THE USED, FINCH, and THRICE, among others.
