ANCIENT Singer DEADLY KRISTIN Leaves BYAXIS

June 11, 2003

ANCIENT vocalist Deadly Kristin has parted ways with Seattle-based progressive death metallers BYAXIS due to "creative & musical differences," according to the band's official web site. "She's still considered a dear friend & sister. We wish her the best of luck with all of her endeavors."

"Taking [Kristin's] place is none other than Justin Hoffman, BYAXIS' bassist & now vocalist! Justin is a fantastic singer & will handle vocal duties until a suitable dedicated frontman can be found. Yes, we will play this summer!

"BYAXIS is now in the mixing stages of their upcoming 3 song CD. Once the mixing & mastering is finished, we will offer up the 'instrumental' tracks as MP3s to pimp ourselves out to perspective singers, as well as give you a small taste of what we've been doing. We do plan to release a CD with these songs (and a few more) once the aforementioned frontman surfaces & records a proper vocal track.

"BYAXIS will be ready to start playing shows around the mid-late July time frame. We're booking!"
