AMPT: SLIPKNOT/BIOHAZARD Side Project To Play Benefit Concert

AMPT, the new band featuring SLIPKNOT DJ Sid Wilson (a.k.a. DJ Starscream) and BIOHAZARD guitarist Scott Roberts, are scheduled to perform at a benefit concert for underprivileged kids, Toys for Tots, on December 17 at DingBatz in Clifton, NJ.

AMPT's current lineup consists of the following:

Rob Gee – Vocals
Scott Roberts (BIOHAZARD, AMONG THIEVES) – Guitar
Jeff Anthony – Guitar
Sid Wilson (a.k.a. DJ Starscream, SLIPKNOT) – DJ
Keith Rooney (GUTWRENCH) – Bass
Fred Wood – Drums

AMPT, whose sound is said to meld "hardcore elements, electronic meanderings and driving lyrics," have made several tracks available for download via their official web site. Listen to "D.F.T.C." (Real Audio),"Ecstacy (You Got What I Need" (All-Core Mix) (Real Audio) and the group's cover of SLAYER's "Raining Blood" (Real Audio). Also scheduled to appear at the Toys for Tots benefit concert are RHYTHM TRIP, featuring original M.O.D. guitarist Tim McMurtrie. FormerS.O.D. and current M.O.D. frontman Billy Milano, who produced and managed RHYTHM TRIP in the mid-'90s, is rumored to be making a special live appearance with the band at the show.
