AMORPHIS: New Dates Announced

July 20, 2006

Following their appearance at the Scooprock Festival in Mikkeli, Finland on Friday, September 15, AMORPHIS will play a one-off club gig at Nosturi in Helsinki on Saturday, September 16. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, July 21.

In other news, a brief AMORPHIS feature has been included in Imperiumi/MeduusaÄäni's Finnish Metal Expo special, which can now be viewed online here (in Finnish).

AMORPHIS' latest album, "Eclipse", was recently issued in a limited vinyl edition in a deluxe gatefold sleeve by Black Lodge Records under worldwide license from Nuclear Blast Records.

The follow-up to 2003's "Far from the Sun", "Eclipse" was recorded at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki with engineer Nino Laurenne (THUNDERSTONE). The production duties were handled by the band and Marco Hietala (NIGHTWISH) for vocals. The mixing was taken care of by Mikko Karmila (who previously worked with the group on their "Am Universum" CD) at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki.
