ALTARIA: HAMMERFALL's CANS Pulls Out Of Guest Appearance, Replacement Announced

March 13, 2004

Finnish melodic metallers ALTARIA have posted the following message on their official web site:

" 'Divinity' is now ready, mixed and mastered. The final touch for the album was mastering at the Finnvox Studios by Mika Jussila (STRATOVARIUS, NIGHTWISH, SONATA ARCTICA, etc). The release date is May 24th, 2004 via Metal Heaven. In other news, Joacim Cans [HAMMERFALL] had to do a last-minute cancellation of recording his vocals for the bonus track. Joacim had an infection in his throat so he was forced to cancel. Luckily ALTARIA was able to obtain another great vocalist for a really short notification time. Andy Engberg (LION'S SHARE, SECTION A) gave a helping hand and performed the vocals just prior of mixing the album."

"Divinity" track listing:

01. Prophet Of Pestilence
02. Unchain The Rain
03. Darkened Highlight
04. Enemy
05. Falling Again
06. Divine
07. Haven
08. Try To Remember
09. Stain On The Switchblade
10. Discovery
11. Will To Live
12. Final Warning
13. Balls To The Wall (ACCEPT cover, bonus track)

ALTARIA, who recently parted ways with NIGHTWISH guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, will continue as four-piece, with the addition of a second guitarist (Petri Aho, formerly of BLINDSIDE) for forthcoming live shows.
