ALICE IN CHAINS: 'Decades' DVD/CD Box Set To Include Bonus Performances, Interview Footage

A custom DVD/CD box set is reportedly in the works that will include all the bonus footage from the VH1 Classic's "Decades Rock Live!" tribute to HEART, including performances by HEART, ALICE IN CHAINS, Gretchen Wilson, Carrie Underwood and Rufus Wainwright songs that didnt make the TV special, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and "Decades Rock Confidential" uncut interview material. The set is expected to arrive sometime before the end of the year.

The reunited ALICE IN CHAINS made their first official appearance as part of the "Decades Rock Live!" tribute to HEART, which premiered on May 5. The band performed a total of five songs, including two songs with ex-PANTERA frontman Philip Anselmo ("Them Bones" and "Would?"), plus another two with COMES WITH THE FALL singer William DuVall. William also dueted with HEART vocalist Ann Wilson on "Rooster".

ALICE IN CHAINS recently confirmed the five dates and cities for its U.S. mini-tour, beginning on May 18 in Los Angeles and ending on May 23 in New York City. The shows will all take place in either small clubs or theatres.

These gigs and a previously announced date at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August are the only announced North American shows for the reunited group so far, with European festival dates on tap for June and July.

As previously reported, ALICE IN CHAINS will be joined on vocals by DuVall. However, surprise guest vocalists and musicians are expected to show up at each of the five U.S. dates.
