AKERCOCKE To Play First Gig Since Guitarist's Departure
The U.K.'s premier (and best dressed!) death metallers AKERCOCKE are set to play an exclusive one-off show at Headbangers Ballroom in Hamburg, Germany on Thursday, March 17. The gig will mark the group's first live performance since guitarist Paul Scanlan left the band (he has since been replaced by ex-BERZERKER guitarist Matt Wilcock). Also appearing on the bill are SEAR BLISS and SUFFERAGE.
AKERCOCKE's most recent album, "Choronzon", was released in October 2003 via Earache Records. The CD was mixed at Sonic Ranch studios in Tornillo, Texas with producer Neil Kernon (NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE) and features artwork by legendary U.K. rock photographer Fin Costello.
