AFTERMATH A.D. Reunion Show Announced

October 16, 2008

Reunited Raleigh, North Carolina hardcore/metal band AFTERMATH A.D. will perform for the first time in 15 years on Halloween night (October 31) at Volume 11 Tavern in Raleigh for the fifth annual STM Music Productions Halloween Monster Rock Bash. Special guests include TUB OF NOISE and HERE LIES…

Fusing the sounds of hardcore and thrash metal, AFTERMATH A.D. formed in the summer of 1987 and played its final show on New Year's Eve 1993. In that time, the band went from learning how to play its instruments together to having a tour bus with a crew and sharing tour dates with some of the biggest bands of the era, including FEAR FACTORY, OBITUARY, DANZIG, AT WAR, WRATHCHILD AMERICA, CONFESSOR, C.O.C., KREATOR, CORONER, CRO-MAGS, PRONG, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, DEATH ANGEL, CARCASS, FORBIDDEN, DESTRUCTION and NUCLEAR ASSAULT.

In the days prior to the world wide web, the underground tape-trading scene was thriving and AFTERMATH A.D. was fully immersed in its world, as well as utilizing college radio and fanzines to help spread the band's music throughout Europe, South America, Asia as well as the U.S. and Canada. The band released six cassettes and two CDs and left behind a reputation as an intense live act with large and sometimes unpredictable crowds.
